The PWHL suspended Seattle Torrent defender Aneta Tejralova for two games on Wednesday due to an illegal check to the head against the New York Sirens on Sunday.

The incident occurred at 11:25 of the first period in Seattle's 4-3 loss to the Sirens in Dallas. Tejralova was issued a major penalty and a game misconduct for the hit on forward Sarah Fillier.

'The PWHL Player Safety Committee determined that Tejralova delivered a high, forceful, predatory check that made her opponent's head the main point of contact on a play where such contact to the head was avoidable,' the league said in a statement.

Tejralova, 29, played her first two PWHL seasons with Ottawa (2023-25) before being selected with the No. 2 overall pick by Seattle in the 2025 expansion draft.

The Czechia native has one assist in five games this season. She has 19 points (three goals, 16 assists) in 58 career PWHL games.
