Conrad Black to stay in jail
Canada News.Net Thursday 26th June, 2008
Conrad Black, who once ran the world's third largest media empire, has lost his appeal against his conviction for fraud and obstruction of justice.
Black, is currently serving a six-and-a-half year jail term in the US.
A US federal court, in rejecting the appeal by the former media baron, marked the climax to Black’s decline, which started when he was charged with taking money for his newspaper empire
Black and three other executives were found guilty in July of four counts of fraud for skimming millions from the sales of newspapers.
