Clinton and Obama on final run
Canada News.Net Wednesday 21st May, 2008
Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are now campaigning in Florida, vying for Democratic nomination in the US presidential race.
Mrs Clinton, who failed to dent her rival's lead during primaries on Tuesday, is in the state to demand that its delegates, who have been barred from the national convention in August, be given seats.
Florida delegates were banned from the national convention in a dispute over the timing of the state primary.
Mr Obama is now focusing his attacks on Republican John McCain in anticipation of the November election.
The Illinois senator has called Mr McCain a new version of President George Bush.
"We can't afford four more years of George Bush foreign policy, that's why we can't afford John McCain," he said.
Obama is credited with a total of about 1,960 delegates with Mrs Clinton at around 1,780.
Mrs Clinton has promised to stay in the race until voting ends.
